We have
people having so many social media accounts and online 24 / 7 yet, they fail to
tap into the so many goodies on social media.
To some extent, some get addicted
to social media. There is good news however, you can turn those wasteful hours
on social media into something productive.
You can use social media to your
advantage or make a positive impact on others.
If you are
using it correctly, there are so many ways to use social media to your
advantage.
It can teach
you so much about the world, different things to make your life easier, and it
helps you stay connected with all of your friends.
Let take a
look at a few ways of doing that:
Market yourself: What do you do or who are you? Use
social media to tell the world what you are capable of doing or a new product
you have brought to the market. This is a great way of boosting your
career. Tweet the articles you just read
and found interesting, share the videos of your products, services and even
achievements on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Learn something new. : You can basically be in your room
and learn so many new things. Just type in “how to braid hair “ or “ how to do
a makeup “ into YouTube and you will be amazed the things you can learn there.
Learn how to cook, how to sew dresses and so many stuff on YouTube and other
social media platforms. Take this advantage and better your life.
Stay Informed:
I mostly like pages which have authentic news on Facebook and follow
informative people and pages on twitter to keep me up to date. You can follow
pages such as CNN and BBC just to stay updated. Being informed is very
important but looking for information seems a bit difficult. Just a click on a
social media button can get you informed with so many news from different
places.
Connect with friends. So many people think social media is inhibiting face-to-face conversation,
but if you are using it correctly, it can actually enhance your face-to-face
conversation. By following friends on Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and even
Pin interest, you can stay connected to your friends and get updates on their
life. That is mostly the reason why some of us are of social media. But staying
in touch with friends and family should go beyond a post on your wall. Poke
them once a while, message them and tag them in your pictures.
Express yourself and get motivated: What ar your
views and options on an issue? Well, you have definitely got to share it on
social media. Found a new way of doing something? Let the world know of it. In
the same way, there are tonnes of pages on Facebook, pin interest, twitter,
Instagram and so on which offer tips on living a better lifestyle. Be it on
dieting, healthy body and even lifting up your spirit.
So you see,
social media is not just a waste of time. And it is not also there to keep you
retrogressing. Just know your needs and locate the social platform that will
suit those needs.
